Fleetwood Macked – Boulton Center 1.24.25

Whether it be the power trio of Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood or the revamped and more contemporary additions Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks, and departure of Peter, Fleetwood Mac has been a staple of record collections since the 60’s. I actually had their “Rumours” album on 8-track!! Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to ever see them live and the only time I had the opportunity to see Lindsey, his show date was cancelled.  And with the death of Christine, will Fleetwood Mac even consider moving forward? Both Mick and Stevie say “No”.

Performing at The Boulton Center, Fleetwood Macked gave me a taste of what an actual performance might have been like.

But here’s funny story! I reached out to Daniel at 89 North as I was getting more into concert photography while I was building content for Long Island Sounds. As many of you know, Fleetwood Macked & Refugee consist of husband & wife team Hilary & Mike Epstein respectively. Bad Animals, Long Island’s Heart tribute band, feat. Mike “the animal” Mendoza on bass would start the evening’s festivities, followed by Refugee – Tom Petty Tribute and finally, Fleetwood Macked. I began shooting Bad Animals to dial in my settings when I realized I never charged my battery! I looked into my camera bag and discovered I didnt pack my backup battery! I limited my shooting but took a few shots of Refugee before my battery finally died. So now, since I couldnt shoot for the remainder of the night, I packed my bag, tucked my tail between my legs and went home.

Skip ahead 7 years and I finally got the opportunity to see Fleetwood Macked; and what a performance! With the recent addition of Caroline Purr, sitting in to sing the Christine McVie hits, the evening was packed with all the classics! Mr Epstien was killer on guitar stepping in and filling in on Lindsey’s iconic masterful guitar and vocals while Hillary Epstein portrayed Stevie’s elegance and persona to a “T”!

Completing the line up are Mr Jay Novas AKA John McVie on bass, Phil Weiss as Mick Fleetwood on drums/percussion and Andrew Nadien on keys, guitar & vocals. Here are a few highlights from their stellar performance!
