Ive been in the entertainment business for 20 years, 30 if you count working at a sports network and meeting countless sports figures! I know first hand that there’s a certain level of professionalism from bands who can roll with the punches when the odds are against them! There are those who feed off the audience’s response and will give their blood, sweat and tears and leave it all on stage, and there are those who may cut their sets short due to lack of attendance, participation or energy!
When we hosted The Romantics for the re-grand opening for the Bears Den at the Seneca Casino, there were literally 16 people in attendance in a theater that held 476! But they proved to be a band of professionals! They gave it their all and performed as though they were playing in front of 100,000!!
I’m sure every band wants to perform to sold out crowds no matter the size of the venue, but does it really matter if a venue holds 150 as opposed to 1500 or 15000? Unfortunately the seats werent nearly full In the newly upholstered Boulton Center for the Performing Arts, but true to form, Adrenalize proved their professionalism! The audience in attendance was electric! If egos were bruised it didnt show!
Led by front man, George Tsalikis of Adrenalize – The Ultimate Def Leppard Experience with band mates Damiano Christian & Jeff Scarfi on guitars, Lee Nelson on drums & Lenny Lee on bass, the band took command of the stage and played for over 2 hours for the electrified crowd! Starting off the night with “Stagefright”, Adrenalize played more than just the hits including “Foolin’”, “Rock of Ages”, “Armageddon”, “Too Late”, “Women”, “Hysteria”, “Bringin’ on the Hearbreak” & “Pure Some Sugar on Me” to name but a few!
As a die-hard fan of Def Leppard, Adrenalize gives a true rendition and pays a respectable tribute to my 80’s hair band heroes! I will also say it was an honest testament, one which will keep me returning to see Adrenalize any time I get the opportunity to see them! Here are a few highlights from their performance at The Boulton Center for the Performing Arts.
