Mickey Lyxx – 89 North 7.31.22

Mickey Lyxx is a Long Island based, heavy metal guitar shredder that is an up-and-coming force to be reckoned with!! I was able to catch one of his recent performances at 89 North in Patchogue, NY when he got the crowd going for Emerald Rising, another up-and-coming Long Island based band, who opened for 80’s hair metal band, The Killer Dwarfs. It was a night of what could be considered an 80’s flash back although Emerald Rising has sound all their own! Mickey is what could be considered these days as an “old soul”! He digs deep effortlessly bringing his 80’s fan base back to when Eddie VanHalen ruled the airwaves! Endorsed by Elixir guitar strings and Charvel guitars it is further proof that the 18 year old is truly going to make his mark on the music world and I am more than happy I was able to shoot a few pics in an intimate setting before he hits the big time!!! Perhaps he’ll need a tour photographer???
