Posted by The Cutting Room NYC hosted Friends of the Brothers featuring musicians that have played with the Allman Brothers Band Thursday June 17, 2021. Such musicians included Andy Aledort, Junior Mack and Alan Paul all providing guitars. Providing back beat and keyboards were none other than Dave Diamond and Lee Finklestein on drums, Peter Levin on Keys and of course Craig Privett providing the low end.
This was the first, full capacity crowd for The Cutting Room and I think the wait staff was a bit over-whelmed! Although my burger was great, it took more than an hour to get it. But aside from the subpar food and drink service, the band was great! They started out with Statesboro Blues and from there it was all Allman Classics including Midnight Rider, Jessica, Melissa and a crowd favorite, Revival.
In addition to these magnificent musicians, their performance was enhanced when their “special guest”, Brandan “TAZ” Neiderauer was introduced for a few songs. It was evident that given the amount of talent he was sharing the stage with, only spotlighted this 17 year old up and coming Bluesman’s genious! Unfortunately, I had to call it a night early as I had a train to catch. But in all honesty, I cant wait to see them again!
